PINTEREST WEEKEND!!

The title says it all, very exciting for me because I literally got a whole day of crafting because the boys went to the Deer Classic which allowed me to have some time to myself!!

I have been wanting to make a quilt for the past week now, no real reason I just know I can so I want to.  The scrap fabric bin at Hancock Fabrics only had pink materials so this quilt will go to some lucky little lady some day.

The next little number is from pinterest and of course I didn't follow the directions very well at all, just got the general idea and did whatever I wanted to..... This little pillow case dress is for Miss Evie, she will have a very happy little first birthday

If you can not tell already, I'm obsessed with making baby things, and I'm really into sewing right now.... My next project was for Landon's cousin Holdyn, he was born just a few weeks ago and I'm awaiting his baby shower so I can go see him.  Not sure if I can wait that long though.

Taggie Blanket
Time to make something for Landon!!  I found this awesome fabric at Hankock Fabrics it is sooooo soft.  It was in with the fleece but it's a lot softer.  It was around $9.00 a yard and I got almost 1 1/2 yards.  Then I took brown yarn and did a blanket stitch around all four edges.  To add a little more brown to the fabric I did some machine stitching around some of the designs on the fabric.

With all the babies lately I needed to come up with more ideas for shower gifts and I came across this on pinterest. (tried to add a link, but apparently the link is missing, so tough tooties).... Burp clothes, and I guess they are the BEST EVER.  They are made from flannel and backed with fleece so that they don't slip.

And for the ending of this fabulous day I made something for myself!!  A strap cover for the camera, YYEAAHHH.  Link.. Again I vaguely followed the directions and pretty much winged it.  Jared said it was stupid but when he used my camera later on he was all about putting the lens cap in the little holder!

Handy pocket for lens cap!
Well that wraps up my crafting, I feel rejuvinated after all that sewing!!  Hopefully next weekend I get some more projects accomplished because Beth Frettim is all about get stuff done PINTEREST style.  Check out her blog if you want to see her DIY home remodeling projects.

P.S. thanks for the link-action. I would return the favor if I had any technical skills at all. I will figure it out eventually!

    Can't wait for weekend extravaganza!
